Simple Plant Care & Quiet Reflections
I thought something was wrong with this plant.
When I first got it, I was still pretty new to plants, and it completely confused me⦠the new leaves were coming in almost completely white.
I didnāt understand how that could be a good thing, and I kept wondering if I was doing something wrong.
This is a philodendron Florida Ghost... one of the more interesting plants in my collection šæ
The leaves come in very pale, almost white, and then slowly darken as they mature. The shape even kind of resembles a little ghost⦠so the name actually fits it perfectly.
But at the time, I didnāt know any of that.
I remember checking on it constantly, trying to figure out what I needed to fix. One day I finally went to Instagram and searched āFlorida Ghostā⦠and seeing other plants that looked just like mine completely changed everything.
It wasnāt struggling.
It was growing exactly the way it was supposed to.
And I donāt know⦠that stuck with me a little.
It made me think about how often we assume something is wrong⦠just because it doesnāt look like what we expected.

As far as care goes, I honestly donāt do much with this one.
It sits in a bright spot, I water it when the soil dries out, and I mostly just leave it alone (in the most loving plant-mom way).
I do use the same fertilizer with every watering, even in the winter... and itās done really well with that routine.
Thatās it.
Just wanted to share this one in case youāve been looking for something a little different. šæ
